PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Field. Electric pulses run through a flat coil, and each pulse creates a short magnetic field around it; the pulse rate is measured in hertz. In a SkelundTech PEMF seat the coil pads are fitted into the seat back under the padding and leather, wired inside the seat frame, bench-tested and tested again through the finished seat. It is optional on LUMEN, VISTA, ARC and ORION.

What PEMF is
PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Field. Electric pulses run through a flat coil, and each pulse creates a short magnetic field around it. The pulse rate is measured in hertz (Hz). In our seats the controller sets that rate — in the video, from 18 up to 27.5 Hz.
How the seat is built
The PEMF coil pads are flat mats. We fit them into the seat back, under the padding and the leather, then connect the wiring inside the seat frame so nothing is visible or in the way. On LUMEN the mat can be built into the flagship NAPA sofa that is supplied with the folding desk.
How it is tested
We test the coil on the bench first: the small ball in the field tester moves when the field is on. Then we test again on the finished seat, right through the leather, and check the controller display before the seat goes into the chamber.
Which chambers can carry it
The PEMF seat system is optional on LUMEN, VISTA, ARC and ORION. It is not offered on ORION COMPACT, which keeps its built-in sofa. Specific combinations with other seating options are confirmed by our engineers for each order.

Questions
Is PEMF standard on any model?
No. The PEMF seat system is an option on LUMEN, VISTA, ARC and ORION. It is not offered on ORION COMPACT.
Where are the coils?
Flat coil pads sit in the seat back under the padding and leather; the wiring runs inside the seat frame and the system has its own controller.
Do you make health claims for PEMF?
No. We describe what the equipment is and how it is built and tested. Anyone with a pacemaker or implant, or who is pregnant, should check with their doctor first.
