Every SkelundTech hard-shell chamber ships with a 10L all-in-one main unit — oxygen concentrator, air compressor and air conditioning in one cabinet. The optional 20L all-in-one replaces it and adds BIBS, a built-in breathing system with a mask; it draws 2,700 W / 25 A at 110 V instead of 2,000 W / 20 A. The documented 93% ± 3% is the oxygen concentration at the concentrator supply — not the oxygen level of the air inside the chamber.

What is BIBS?
The BIBS explainer in under a minute: the two-line mask and how the 20L unit compares with the 10L unit.
What the main unit does
A SkelundTech hard-shell chamber is served by a separate main unit that stands beside it. The standard unit is an all-in-one cabinet: oxygen concentrator, air compressor and air conditioning together. Because the air conditioning is built in, there is no separate air-conditioning unit to install or maintain.

10L all-in-one or 20L all-in-one with BIBS
Every hard-shell model ships with the 10L all-in-one main unit — one 10L oxygen concentrator and two air compressors. The optional 20L all-in-one replaces it and adds BIBS — two 10L concentrators and three compressors, with a mask through which the user breathes. The larger system draws more power, so choose it before the electrician plans the circuit.
| 10L all-in-one | 20L all-in-one + BIBS | |
|---|---|---|
| Availability | Standard on all five hard-shell models | Optional on all five, replacing the 10L unit |
| In the cabinet | Oxygen concentrator, air compressor, air conditioning | The same functions, doubled oxygen output, plus BIBS with mask |
| 110 V / 60 Hz | 2,000 W · 20 A | 2,700 W · 25 A |
| 220 V / 50 Hz | 1,500 W · 8 A | 2,500 W · 13 A |
| Supply concentration | 93% ± 3% at the concentrator supply | 93% ± 3% at the concentrator supply |
Three different oxygen numbers
Specification sheets often print one oxygen percentage without saying what it describes. There are three different values:
- At the concentrator supply. SkelundTech documents 93% ± 3% here. This is the figure on our specifications.
- At the breathing point — the mask of a BIBS system, for example. This depends on the delivery system and is not the same value.
- In the chamber air. The oxygen level of the air inside the pressurized chamber is a separate value. SkelundTech does not state it, and 93% must never be read as the chamber air.
When you compare chambers, ask which of the three a figure refers to.
Soft chambers
REST, DRIFT and COVE share one equipment profile: an 85 kg all-in-one unit rated at 1,500 W with air conditioning, 10 L/min oxygen flow and two oxygen masks. Two masks are supplied as standard; that does not make a chamber a two-person model.
Planning power
Each hard-shell main unit needs a dedicated circuit. Choose the 110 V / 60 Hz or 220 V / 50 Hz version for your installation; a local electrician plans the circuit from the figures above.
Questions to ask any supplier
- Which oxygen figure is this — supply, breathing point or chamber air?
- Is air conditioning integrated in the main unit, or a separate unit?
- What are the rated power and current for each voltage version?
- What is included as standard — masks, BIBS, controls inside and outside?
Questions
Is 93% the oxygen level inside the chamber?
No. 93% ± 3% is the concentration at the concentrator supply. SkelundTech does not state the oxygen level of the chamber air.
Does every chamber include air conditioning?
Yes. On hard-shell chambers it is integrated in the all-in-one main unit; on soft chambers it is standard in the 85 kg all-in-one unit.
